Our goal is to make it easier for mining companies to achieve a transparent understanding of their cost performance, develop a cost-conscious culture and create a single source of truth that helps senior leadership make better decisions, faster.
Mining is all we do. We are team of experienced mine accountants and software professionals who have spent the last two decades providing cost improvement focused solutions to a wide range of mining organisations.
Our all-in-one budgeting, forecasting and reporting platform, purpose-built for the mining industry empowers all cost owners to understand and manage their costs and enables the finance team to easily support the operational users whilst simplifying all aspects of stakeholder financial reporting.

Our Story
Ramesys Global had it’s origins in the post recessionary times of the late 1990’s / early 2000’s with the sole purpose of creating smarter ways for marginal mining operations to stay in business. Traditional financial accounting options didn’t cut it – they highlighted the problem but gave little guidance to means to improve the situation.

So we turned our focus to the people who generate the costs, the operations teams. We established processes and tools to help these teams better understand the cost impacts of their day-to-day operational decisions. We built clever software that allowed them to get critical cost performance information quickly and in easy-to-understand formats. We helped to establish business processes that would challenge cost owners to want to not only deliver sound operational outcomes, but to deliver these more cost effectively.

John is a Chartered Accountant with 30+ years’ experience as an accountant and cost management consultant in the mining, oil and gas and utilities industries. John is passionate about delivering ways to make it easier for businesses to get better cost outcomes from their operations. Ramesys Global evolved from this passion in order to fill a need for more financial transparency and cost control in large mining and resources companies worldwide.

Sonya Preece
Technical Director
Sonya is our technical team leader and is one of the founders of Ramesys Global. Sonya is responsible for driving the development and delivery of key initiatives for the suite of Ramesys Global software. With over three decades of experience, Sonya has a proven track record in developing clever leading-edge solutions and implementing best practices for her team. Sonya holds a BSc degree in computing with honours.

Andrew Pelecanos
General Manager, ERP Services
Andrew is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the mining and resources sector. As a consultant to numerous mining projects both domestically and internationally, Andrew provides a broad skill set in financial accounting, taxation, audit, business intelligence, inventory, maintenance, and IT systems.
